The Second China Bamboo Pulp and Paper Industry Development Conference was successfully held in Yibin

The 2nd China Bamboo Pulp and Paper Industry Development Conference was successfully held from 24th to 27th April 2025 in Yibin, Sichuan Province. The conference was jointly organised by China Paper Industry and Technology Association, Sichuan Paper Industry Association, China Pulp and Paper Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Polytechnic Institute, and co-organised by Sichuan Paper Industry Association, China Pulp and Paper Research Institute ‘China Paper’ Editorial Department, Sichuan Chemical Industry Vocational and Technical College, Yibin Paper Industry Co.

More than 400 people attended the conference, including leaders from China Paper Industry and Technology Association, China Paper Association, Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Informatisation, Yibin Municipal People's Government, China Bamboo Pulp Research Association, Sichuan Provincial Paper Association/Society, as well as representatives of bamboo pulp and paper whole industrial chain production enterprises, academic experts from scientific research institutes and colleges and universities, and industry media.

The theme of the conference is ‘Creating a Green Bamboo Industry Chain’: The conference is themed ‘Creating a Green Bamboo Industry Chain: Intelligent Innovation Enabling New Ecology’, * There are six thematic panels and 37 presentations: the theme report, the development of the bamboo pulp industry, pulping process and equipment, bamboo Resource Development and Supply Chain Security, Bamboo-based Functional Materials and Applications, and Bamboo Resource High-Value Utilisation Technology. These sessions explored the efficient utilisation of resources and industrial synergy to advance the path of high quality development of the bamboo pulp industry.

After the plenary session, participants visited Yibin Paper Co., Ltd. for an in-depth discussion on bamboo pulp pulping technology, bamboo pulp household paper production, speciality paper production and environmental protection facilities.

As a strategic hub for China's bamboo resources, Sichuan Province continues to strengthen its industrial scale, brand competitiveness and ecological sustainability, positioning itself as a comprehensive bamboo pulp and paper production base. During the conference, the *2025 International Bamboo Industry Brand Expo*, co-hosted by the China Bamboo Industry Association and the China Paper Industry and Technology Association, was held at the Yibin International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
